Sara is a ceramic artist whose practice is inspired by architecture & design. Working between functional objects & sculptural form, they create thoughtfully crafted pieces that explore balance, proportion & materiality. Combining wheel throwing with hand-building techniques, each work embraces the tactile qualities of clay while celebrating both precision & individuality. Firing primarily in wood & gas kilns, they embrace the distinctive surfaces & subtle variations these atmospheric processes bring, allowing flame, ash & heat to become integral collaborators in the making of each piece. Through a considered approach to form, material & process, their ceramics are designed to enrich everyday rituals, fostering a connection between object, space & the people who use them.
